HONORABLE MENTION in the SARP Katowice Competition – TBS at Piaskowa Street in Gliwice

Between the gable roofs of Łabędy and the modernist housing blocks, our idea for a new neighborhood was born. It was precisely in this meeting of two worlds that the SARP Katowice competition jury saw value and awarded us an honorable mention “for a bold and attractive attempt to engage with the spatial conflicts present within the ‘quarter’ area.”

About the project:

*a green, car-free courtyard,

*an orchard, community gardens, sports field, and social spaces,

*a dialogue between the small scale of gable-roof houses and contemporary multi-family housing,

*low-energy buildings, renewable energy sources, water retention systems, and wildflower meadows.
