Project: Conceptual design of a hotel on Piotrkowska Street

The main assumption of the project is the implementation of a characteristic building that fits into the scale of Piotrkowska Street, ordering the surroundings and creating a new reference point in the urban space. The building is located in one of the most prestigious locations in Łódź, at the intersection of Piotrkowska Street and Piłsudskiego Avenue. The designed eight-storey hotel uses the maximum potential and investment opportunities of a small plot. The main entrance was planned from Piłsudskiego Avenue. It leads to a glass lobby and a gastronomic section. The hotel has 81 luxurious apartments connected by an internal atrium illuminated by glazing in the roof. Spacious terraces, a sky bar with a view of Piotrkowska Street, a conference center, a gym and a SPA are provided on the top, recessed floor.
Due to the special location, a soft, sculptural architectural form with a facade covered with greenery was proposed. Horizontal, irregular divisions and rounded corners give dynamism, inviting to enter Piotrkowska Street. The designed facility is a counterbalance to the surroundings poor in vegetation and is in line with ecological trends.
